An experienced Waste & Recycling Operations and Transport Manager is required to lead a production team at a fast-paced processing site in Billericay.
Salary: £60,000 plus Pension

The Role
As Operations and Transport Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of a busy waste management or recycling facility.
A background working with materials such as biomass, wood waste, scrap metal, plastics, construction and demolition waste, composting, landfill, aggregates, anaerobic digestion, MRF/MBT operations, or other heavy industry.
This role would suit candidates who have previously held positions such as:
General Manager, Operations Manager, Transport Manager, MBT Shift Manager, Transfer Station Manager, Recycling Operations Manager, Waste Site Manager, MRF Manager, Skip Hire General Manager, Recycling Production Manager, Plant Manager.
Key duties include:
Overseeing the intake, processing, and dispatch of waste materials.
Ensuring all plant and equipment are properly maintained and operational.
Maintaining compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety, and Quality standards.
Managing the Transport and approx. 15 drivers
Managing, motivating, and developing a team of production staff.
Supporting commercial activities and contributing to overall business performance.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Proven experience managing a waste processing or recycling site (although this is not essential).
Required
COTC/WAMITAB.
Transport Managers CPC
NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
A full UK driving licence.
