Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit an experienced Renewables Service Engineer to join their expanding team.
The Role
As a Renewables Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out the servicing, maintenance and repair of Solar PV systems, while also supporting the maintenance of renewable technologies including Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP), Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP), Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) and Exhaust Air Heat Pumps (EAHP).
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with strong technical knowledge, excellent fault-finding skills and a passion for renewable energy technologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Service, maintain and repair Solar PV and renewable energy systems to ensure optimum performance, efficiency and safety.
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across a range of renewable technologies.
* Conduct site inspections, assessments and system performance audits.
* Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and recommend appropriate solutions.
* Provide technical advice and support to customers regarding the operation and maintenance of renewable energy systems.
* Work collaboratively with engineering and technical teams to deliver continuous improvements and innovative solutions.
* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current legislation, industry standards and health & safety regulations.
* Accurately complete service reports, maintenance records and compliance documentation.
* Deliver exceptional customer service while representing the business professionally at all times.
Skills & Experience
Essential
* NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BPEC or equivalent Electrical qualification (including AM2).
* Level 3 Solar PV Installation qualification.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Excellent communication and technical reporting abilities.
Desirable
* Previous experience working within the social housing sector.
* Experience servicing or maintaining Air Source Heat Pumps, Ground Source Heat Pumps, District Heating or Hybrid Renewable Systems.
* Good understanding of domestic hot water systems and low-temperature heating systems.
