We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Planning Policy Officer to support planning policy and housing strategy, with a particular focus on Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and Section 106 (S106) agreements. You would need to have experience of monitoring and managing CIL and Section 106 processes. A planning qualification is desirable but not essential if you have strong practical experience in this area.
### Key Responsibilities
Monitor and manage CIL and Section 106 agreements and associated processes.
Support the preparation and review of planning policy and housing strategy documents.
Develop and maintain planning monitoring systems.
Commission and oversee external evidence base studies.
Support neighbourhood planning and liaise with key stakeholders.
Prepare reports and present to committees and meetings.
Provide planning advice and support to colleagues.
### About You
Proven experience managing CIL and Section 106 processes.
Experience within planning policy or a local authority planning environment.
Strong knowledge of planning legislation and infrastructure planning.
Excellent communication, report writing and organisational skills.
Desirable:
Planning or built environment qualification.
RTPI membership or equivalent.
Experience of Local Plan preparation and planning policy development.
