Our client is a leading international engineering contractor delivering innovative Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation solutions across the Energy, Power & Renewables, Pharma, Food & Beverage and Data Centre sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Electrical Engineer to join a major Solar Farm project based in Sittingbourne, Kent. This is a 5-day per week site-based role, so applicants must be based in the UK and able to commute to site daily.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business delivering large-scale renewable energy projects while working as part of a high-performing engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and review schematic drawings and single-line diagrams.
Ensure compliance with project-specific health and safety requirements.
Produce detailed designs covering High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical equipment, control systems and protection systems.
Prepare equipment specifications and support the selection and procurement process.
Prepare and interpret technical specifications and enquiry documentation.
Assist with the preparation of technical and contract documentation.
Monitor engineering progress against project programmes and provide progress reports.
Prepare method statements and risk assessments.
Work closely with the wider project delivery team to ensure successful project execution.
Requirements
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 3 years' experience working as an Electrical Engineer.
Previous experience within the Power or Renewable Energy sector.
Strong understanding of HV/LV electrical systems and associated design.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet project deadlines.
High attention to detail and ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering team.
