How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    North London | £110,000–£130,000 + Excellent Package

Lead the Commercial Delivery of a £150m Civil Infrastructure Package on a £500m Hyperscale Data Centre

Our client is a globally recognised international main contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering some of the world's most complex and technically advanced construction projects. Due to continued growth within their mission-critical division, they are seeking an experienced Commercial Lead to oversee the £150m civil infrastructure package on a flagship £500m hyperscale data centre development in Enfield.

This is an exceptional opportunity to take ownership of one of the most significant infrastructure packages on a major mission-critical project, leading the commercial function from early delivery through to final account while driving commercial performance, managing risk and supporting the successful delivery of this landmark scheme.

    The Role

Reporting to the Regional Commercial Director, you will take full commercial responsibility for the civil infrastructure package, working closely with the Project Director, construction teams, client representatives and key supply chain partners.

You will ensure robust commercial governance is maintained throughout the project lifecycle while leading and developing the commercial team responsible for this critical package of works.

    Key Responsibilities
Lead the commercial management of the £150m civil infrastructure package.
Develop and implement the commercial strategy from procurement through to final account.
Manage all contractual and commercial matters relating to enabling works, earthworks, drainage, utilities, roads, reinforced concrete structures and associated infrastructure.
Oversee procurement, subcontract negotiations and supply chain performance.
Produce accurate cost reporting, forecasting and financial analysis.
Identify, manage and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities.
Administer change control, compensation events, claims and final account negotiations.
Build strong working relationships with the client, consultants and key subcontractors.
Lead, mentor and develop the project commercial team.
Ensure compliance with company commercial procedures and contractual obligations.
    About You

You will be an experienced commercial professional with a proven track record of delivering large-scale civil engineering and infrastructure packages on complex construction projects for a Tier 1 or international main contractor.

    You will have:

Extensive commercial management experience with a recognised Tier 1 or international main contractor.
Experience leading the commercial delivery of major civil infrastructure packages valued in excess of £100m.
Previous experience working on hyperscale data centre, mission-critical or similarly complex major projects.
Strong knowledge of NEC, JCT and other standard forms of contract.
Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing commercial teams.
A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
MRICS or equivalent professional membership (desirable).
    Essential Requirement

Previous contractor-side experience delivering major civil infrastructure packages on hyperscale data centre or mission-critical projects is essential.

Applications from candidates without relevant main contractor data centre experience will not be considered.

    Salary & Benefits
    £110,000–£130,000 basic salary (DOE)
    Performance-related bonus
    Company car or car allowance
    Private healthcare
    Company pension scheme
Generous annual leave plus bank holidays
Long-term pipeline of flagship UK and European data centre projects
Excellent career progression within a globally recognised international contractor
    Why Apply?

This is a unique opportunity to lead the commercial delivery of a £150m civil infrastructure package forming part of a £500m hyperscale data centre, working with one of the industry's leading international contractors at the forefront of the mission-critical sector.

If you have the commercial leadership experience and contractor-side data centre background to deliver infrastructure packages of this scale, we'd love to hear from you.
