Panel Department Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Panel Department Manager to lead our panel manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in the design and manufacture of electrical control panels, MCCs and switchboards who has progressed into a supervisory or management role and is looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing and developing a team of 2–3 panel builders/electricians.

* Planning and coordinating workloads to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

* Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and workmanship.

* Liaising with customers to understand requirements and provide technical support.

* Preparing quotations and cost estimates for new and existing works.

* Supporting sales activities and maintaining strong customer relationships.

* Monitoring department performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.

* Working closely with other departments to ensure successful project delivery.

Candidate Details

We are looking for someone with the following experience and qualifications:

Essential

* Previous hands-on experience in the manufacture of electrical control panels, MCCs, switchboards or similar systems.

* Experience in a supervisory, team leader or management position.

* Customer-facing experience with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.

* Experience preparing quotations and pricing works.

* Strong organisational and communication skills.

* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

* Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

* Knowledge of relevant electrical standards and industry best practices.

* Experience working within process and industrial sectors.

* Previous involvement in sales or business development activities.

Working Hours

* Full time – 37.5 hours per week, with overtime available
