How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Your New Company
    A leading international engineering business is looking to appoint an Electrical Project Engineer to support the delivery of high-voltage electrical projects across the UK. You'll work on transformer and power infrastructure projects while acting as the link between customers, engineering teams and manufacturing facilities.
    Your New Role
    As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will:

    Coordinate electrical engineering projects from start to finish.
    Act as the main technical contact for customers.
    Review drawings, specifications and technical documents.
    Support design review meetings and resolve technical queries.
    Work closely with engineering teams and manufacturing facilities.
    Ensure projects comply with UK and IEC standards.
    Manage project risks, changes and technical issues.
    Provide technical support throughout the project life cycle. What You'll Need to Succeed

    Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related subject.
    Proven UK experience within power, utilities, energy or high-voltage engineering.
    Experience with transformers, reactors or other HV electrical equipment.
    Knowledge of UK and IEC electrical standards.
    Previous experience in a Project Engineer, Electrical Engineer or similar role.
    Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
    Ability to review technical drawings and specifications.
