How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

SEN Teacher – Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) (Full-Time | Temp to Permanent)

    Location: Rickmansworth
    Start Date: September 2026

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Rickmansworth is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join its Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs in a specialist setting within a mainstream school.

The SRP provides tailored support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication and interaction needs, and associated learning difficulties. The provision offers a structured, nurturing environment where pupils benefit from personalised learning while accessing mainstream opportunities where appropriate.

    The Role

As the SRP Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of each pupil. Working alongside experienced Teaching Assistants, the SENCO, and external professionals, you will create a positive learning environment that promotes academic progress, independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.

    Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons aligned with individual EHCP targets.
Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
Use positive behaviour management techniques and structured routines to support engagement.
Assess pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and target setting.
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, parents/carers, the SENCO, and external agencies.
Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom where every child can thrive.

    About You

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally within an SRP, mainstream, or specialist setting.
Good understanding of autism and effective strategies to support communication and learning.
A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach with a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
    Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willing to apply for one.

    What the School Offers

A welcoming and supportive leadership team.
Small class sizes with excellent staff-to-pupil ratios.
Ongoing CPD and specialist SEND training.
Well-resourced learning spaces and specialist facilities.
Competitive rates of pay and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
