Manufacturing Technician

We are looking for motivated and hands-on Manufacturing Technician to join a team based in Batley. This Manufacturing Technician role is ideal for someone at an early stage of their career who is keen to gain practical experience in a manufacturing and R&D environment, or who can bring experience from a similar setting. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will support production activities, assist with equipment preparation, and help maintain organised and safe workspace. This is role is a temporary contract, with the potential to become permanent dependent on performance!

Roles & Responsibilities of Manufacturing Technician:

Assemble robotic systems and sub-assemblies.

Complete mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, and PCB component installation.

Support prototype builds, testing, and production activities.

Prepare parts, tools, and materials for assembly.

Follow assembly instructions and maintain build records.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop.

Contribute to continuous improvement of production processes.

Follow health and safety procedures, including PPE requirements

Qualifications & Experience Required from Manufacturing Technician:

An interest or some exposure to manufacturing, production, or workshop environments and be keen to learn and follow instructions accurately.
Be practical, reliable, and well organised, with good attention to detail and a positive attitude toward hands-on work.
Experience with hand tools, workshop equipment, mechanical or electrical systems, or site-based work is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
