How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Global Ecommerce Director

Shopify | DTC Growth Brand | International Scale-Up | Highly Competitive Salary & Benefits | South of London

We are exclusively partnering with an exciting, high-growth consumer brand to appoint a Global Ecommerce Director at a pivotal stage of its growth journey.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious ecommerce leader who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and has a proven track record of scaling DTC brands through Shopify. You'll play a critical role in shaping the next phase of international growth, driving digital innovation and building a world-class ecommerce function.

We're looking for someone who has been part of a genuine growth story-someone who understands the pace, agility and commercial mindset required within a scaling business and is excited by the opportunity to make a lasting impact.

    The Opportunity

As Global Ecommerce Director, you will own the global ecommerce strategy, taking full accountability for online trading performance, customer experience and commercial growth across multiple international markets.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work at the intersection of ecommerce, technology, brand and customer, constantly identifying opportunities to improve conversion, optimise the customer journey and accelerate profitable growth.

Shopify sits at the heart of the ecommerce ecosystem, and we're looking for a leader who understands how to maximise its capabilities, challenge convention and continually evolve the digital experience.

Working closely with senior leaders across Brand, Product, Marketing and Operations, you'll influence business strategy, champion innovation and ensure ecommerce remains the engine room of the business.

    Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the global ecommerce strategy, supporting ambitious international growth plans.

Own all ecommerce trading activity, delivering a best-in-class digital trading calendar that maximises revenue and customer engagement.

Lead the optimisation and ongoing evolution of the Shopify Plus platform, ensuring a seamless, high-converting customer experience.

Drive continuous improvements across conversion, average order value, customer lifetime value and retention.

Partner closely with Performance Marketing, CRM and Brand teams to deliver integrated customer acquisition and retention strategies.

Use data, customer insight and experimentation to identify growth opportunities and inform commercial decisions.

Champion innovation across merchandising, personalisation, UX and onsite optimisation.

Build, mentor and develop a high-performing ecommerce team capable of supporting continued international expansion.

Work collaboratively across the wider business to ensure ecommerce is embedded within broader commercial decision making.

    About You

We're looking for an ecommerce leader who combines strategic thinking with a strong trading mindset and has a passion for building and scaling digitally-led brands.

    You'll bring:

Proven experience leading ecommerce within a Shopify Plus environment.

A strong background in Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) retail or consumer brands.

Experience working within a high-growth, founder-led or scale-up business, where pace, agility and commercial ownership are essential.

A demonstrable track record of scaling ecommerce revenue across domestic and international markets.

Deep understanding of digital trading, customer journey optimisation, merchandising, CRM, retention and lifecycle marketing.

Strong commercial instincts with the ability to use data to make confident, customer-focused decisions.

Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across technology, marketing, product and operations.

A proactive, entrepreneurial approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve quickly.

    Why Join?

This is an opportunity to join a business with significant momentum, an ambitious leadership team and a clear vision for international growth.

You'll have the autonomy to shape ecommerce strategy, influence the future direction of the brand and build scalable capabilities that will support the next phase of expansion.

If you're an experienced ecommerce leader who has helped build and scale a Shopify-powered DTC business and you're looking for your next challenge, we'd love to hear from you.
