How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Reporting to the Project Director, the successful candidate will take full responsibility for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The role requires a hands-on leader with extensive experience coordinating multiple trades, managing subcontractors, and driving programme performance through the internal finishes phase.

Working closely with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders, you will ensure the successful completion of internal works while maintaining exceptional standards of health, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

This role is ideally suited to a proactive construction professional with a proven track record of delivering high-quality residential fit-out projects and leading site teams through to successful project completion.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead all on-site internal fit-out activities from commencement through to practical completion.

    * Manage and coordinate site management teams, subcontractors and suppliers to deliver works safely, efficiently and to programme.

    * Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with design specifications, statutory regulations and industry best practice.

    * Develop, monitor and update construction programmes, implementing recovery plans where required to maintain project milestones.

    * Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across the site.

    * Monitor the quality of finishes throughout the project, implementing robust quality control procedures and ensuring defects are minimised.

    * Chair site meetings and provide accurate progress reports to senior management.

    * Coordinate logistics for internal trades, materials and access to maintain programme efficiency.

    * Work closely with commercial and project management teams to identify, manage and mitigate project risks.

    * Lead, mentor and develop site management teams, supporting the progression of junior staff and promoting best practice.

    Candidate Profile

    The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

    * Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager delivering large-scale residential internal fit-out projects.

    * Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary site teams and multiple subcontractor packages.

    * Extensive knowledge of internal construction sequencing, finishes coordination and handover processes.

    * Strong programme management skills with experience using Asta Powerproject, Microsoft Project or similar planning software.

    * Comprehensive understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and construction regulations.

    * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.

    * Strong commercial awareness and the ability to proactively manage project risks.

    * A meticulous approach to quality assurance, snagging and achieving high standards of finish.

    * Confidence in chairing meetings and producing clear, concise project reports.

    * Proficiency in digital construction management platforms such as Procore, SmartWaste and Microsoft Office.

    Essential Requirements

    * Extensive experience managing internal fit-out works on residential construction projects.

    * Proven ability to lead site teams through the finishing and handover stages of major developments.

    * Strong understanding of quality assurance, inspection processes and construction compliance.

    * Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.

    * Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining programme objectives and quality standards.

    Desirable

    * Experience delivering high-rise residential or mixed-use developments.

    * Experience managing phased handovers and client inspections.

    * Proven ability to mentor and develop Assistant Site Managers and Site Managers.

    * Familiarity with modern digital construction management and reporting systems
