How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The Associate Director will take ownership of high-value commissions from inception through to completion, managing key client relationships and leading multidisciplinary teams. The successful Associate Director will combine strong technical project delivery with excellent commercial awareness and leadership skills.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Associate Director will lead the delivery of major residential, commercial, mixed-use, heritage, and student accommodation projects across London and the South East.

The Associate Director will oversee project strategy, programme management, procurement, consultant coordination, contract administration, stakeholder management, risk management, and project reporting. They will provide senior leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring commissions are delivered successfully while maintaining the highest standards of client service.

Alongside project delivery, the Associate Director will grow key client accounts, generate repeat business opportunities, support fee proposals and bids, influence recruitment decisions, and mentor junior members of the project management team.

    The Associate Director

The successful Associate Director will have:

Prior experience working within a construction consultancy
Proven experience leading major construction projects
Experience across residential, commercial, mixed-use, heritage, or student accommodation sectors
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or another relevant professional qualification
Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and project delivery
Experience developing client relationships and generating repeat business
Experience supporting bids and fee proposals
Strong leadership, commercial, and stakeholder management skills
A passion for mentoring teams and contributing to business growth

    In Return?

    £70,000 - £85,000
    Pension contribution
    Private healthcare
    Professional membership fees paid
Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days from home)
    Leadership responsibility on major projects
Opportunity to influence business growth and recruitment
Clear progression within an established consultancy
