How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Catch 22 are working with a leading Facilities Management provider to recruit a Foot Mobile Building Engineer supporting a portfolio of prestigious corporate office buildings across Central London.

    This is an opportunity to work within some of London's most impressive workplace environments, including high-profile headquarters, financial institutions and premium office spaces. Due to the nature of the portfolio, we're particularly interested in engineers who have experience working within high-end corporate, blue-chip or prestigious commercial environments, where professionalism, presentation and customer service are key.

    You'll typically attend two sites per day, delivering planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical building services systems, with all travel covered via a Zone 1-4 travel pass.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Delivering PPM and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical and building services systems
    Carrying out fault finding, repairs and minor remedial works with minimal disruption to occupiers
    Maintaining accurate compliance, maintenance and statutory records
    Liaising with clients, building managers and FM teams to deliver an exceptional level of service
    Supporting the safe, efficient and compliant operation of prestigious corporate workplaces

    Key requirements:

    18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
    Recognised electrical qualification
    Experience within commercial building services maintenance
    Previous experience working within prestigious corporate offices, financial institutions, blue-chip headquarters or other high-end commercial environments
    Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance knowledge
    Professional, customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills
    Able to work the on call - 1in 5, Friday-to-Friday rotation, with flexibility to respond and work weekends when required
    Due to the nature of the client portfolio and the sensitive environments involved, the successful candidate will be required to pass comprehensive pre-employment screening, including a background check and credit check. Applicants should therefore be able to obtain security clearance and have a clean credit history.

    Package:

    £46,000 basic salary
    1 in 5 on-call rota (£150 standby payment per week)
