How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Working closely with the maintenance team to minimise downtime.

Investigating incidents, near misses and implementing corrective actions.
Ensuring products consistently meet customer quality standards.
Monitoring KPIs, analysing production data and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Completing production reports and maintaining accurate operational records.
Coaching, developing and supporting production personnel.

    About You

To be successful as our Production Foreman, you'll have experience leading teams within a metal manufacturing environment and be confident managing production operations in a busy factory setting.

    You'll ideally have:

At least 3 years' supervisory or Production Foreman experience within a manufacturing or factory environment.
Previous experience working within the metals industry, ideally involving mills, casting, pressing or similar heavy manufacturing processes.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
    Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
The ability to read technical drawings and production documentation.
Experience using production data, KPIs and Microsoft Excel.
A proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Experience with machinery such as saws, routers or welding equipment would be advantageous but is not essential.

    What's on Offer

Competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000, depending on experience.
25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
    Permanent, full-time position.
Four-day working week (Monday to Thursday, 7:00am-5:30pm).
    Ongoing training and development opportunities.
    Supportive, team-focused working environment.
Opportunity to make a real impact within a well-established manufacturing business.
If you're an experienced Production Foreman looking for your next challenge and want to join a business where safety, quality and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do, we'd like to hear from you.
