How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with younger children and is passionate about helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning. The role will involve working closely with a child in Reception, providing consistent day-to-day support while also contributing to the wider classroom environment.

The school is looking for someone who is nurturing, proactive, and able to build a strong relationship with a young child. Experience within Early Years is beneficial, although candidates from a range of backgrounds who have relevant experience working with children will be considered.

    The Role:

    * Supporting a Reception-aged child throughout the school day

    * Helping the child engage with classroom activities and the wider school environment

    * Providing encouragement and support with communication, social development, and independence

    * Helping the child follow routines and take part in activities alongside their peers

    * Working alongside the class teacher and wider school team to support positive progress

    * Contributing to a calm, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment

    * Supporting the wider Reception class where appropriate

    The Ideal Candidate:

    * Experience working with young children in a school, nursery, childcare, or similar setting

    * A warm, patient, and engaging personality

    * Able to build positive and trusting relationships with children

    * Calm and consistent when supporting children who may need additional encouragement

    * Proactive, adaptable, and willing to get involved in the wider classroom

    * Strong communication and teamwork skills

    * Relevant experience in Early Years, childcare, education, psychology, or a similar field is desirable but not essential

    Why Work with ANZUK?

    * Competitive daily pay rates

    * Long-term opportunity within a supportive primary school environment

    * Dedicated consultant support and career guidance

    * Access to CPD, safeguarding, and SEN training

    * Opportunity to gain valuable experience within an established primary school

    * Potential for longer-term and permanent opportunities

    How to Apply:

If you’re passionate about working with young children and are looking for a rewarding full-time opportunity in a primary school, apply today with your CV.

Interviews and trial days will be arranged ahead of the September start, with opportunities to meet the school and find the right fit for the role
