How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Depending on the needs of the pupils and the successful candidate's experience, the role may involve working within mainstream classrooms, providing 1:1 and small group support, or supporting pupils within the school's dedicated inclusion provision.

    The Role:

    * Supporting pupils with Autism and a range of additional needs across the primary school

    * Providing 1:1 and small group support both within the classroom and through targeted interventions

    * Helping pupils access learning, develop independence, and engage positively with school life

    * Supporting children with communication, social, emotional, and behavioural needs

    * Working with pupils both within mainstream classes and, where appropriate, within the school's inclusion provision

    * Supporting emotional regulation, routines, transitions, and positive behaviour

    * Working closely with class teachers, the SENCo, and wider support staff to implement individualised strategies

    The Ideal Candidate:

    * Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly Autism, is desirable

    * A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

    * Confident supporting pupils who may experience emotional dysregulation or behavioural challenges

    * Able to build strong, positive relationships with children and encourage their independence

    * Adaptable and comfortable working across different year groups and settings

    * Strong communication and teamwork skills

    * A relevant qualification or experience in education, care, psychology, youth work, or a similar setting is desirable

    Why Work with ANZUK?

    * Competitive daily pay rates

    * Long-term opportunities within a supportive primary school environment

    * Dedicated consultant support and career guidance

    * Access to CPD, safeguarding, and SEN training

    * Opportunities to build experience across mainstream and specialist inclusion settings

    * Potential for longer-term and permanent opportunities

    How to Apply:

If you're passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and are looking for a rewarding full-time role within a supportive primary school, apply today with your CV.

Interviews and trial days will be arranged ahead of the September start, with opportunities to meet the school and find the right fit for the role
