How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Bridgeman Recruitment are looking for experienced Electrical Test and Inspection Engineers to carry out electrical testing and inspection works across projects in Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    * Carry out electrical testing and inspection of existing electrical installations.

    * Complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).

    * Inspect electrical systems, circuits, consumer units and associated equipment.

    * Carry out testing in accordance with current BS 7671 requirements.

    * Identify defects, faults and areas of non-compliance.

    * Complete accurate test results, inspection sheets and reports.

    * Take photographs and record findings using digital reporting systems where required.

    * Recommend remedial works where necessary.

    * Liaise professionally with clients, site teams and residents.

    * Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations.

    Requirements:

    * Previous experience in electrical testing and inspection.

    * Relevant electrical qualifications, such as 18th Edition and Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent).

    * Experience completing EICRs.

    * Good knowledge of BS 7671 and current electrical regulations.

    * Strong attention to detail and accurate reporting skills.

    * Ability to work independently and professionally.

    * Relevant electrical qualifications and testing equipment.

    * Full UK driving licence preferred.

    Rate: £25–£40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
