The Principal Test & Evaluation Engineer will lead the planning, execution and evaluation of testing activities for advanced battery systems within a highly regulated engineering environment. Working across the full product lifecycle, you will play a key role in validating system performance, safety and reliability while providing technical leadership across testing and evaluation programmes.
The Principal Test & Evaluation Engineer will be responsible for:
Leading testing and evaluation programmes for advanced battery systems across development, qualification and in-service phases.
Developing testing strategies and providing technical guidance on battery performance, safety and reliability assessments.
Creating, reviewing and approving test plans, procedures and technical reports.
Managing hazard and risk assessments associated with battery testing and fault simulation activities.
Evaluating system performance under normal, abnormal and fault conditions.
Supporting project planning, resource management, technical reporting and stakeholder engagement activities.
The Principal Test & Evaluation Engineer will have:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Systems Engineering or a related discipline)
Strong knowledge and practical experience of battery technologies within high-integrity applications.
Experience planning, executing and reporting battery system testing and validation activities.
Understanding of test methodologies covering performance, safety, reliability and degradation assessment.
Familiarity with Systems Engineering and Verification & Validation (V&V) processes
Strong leadership, communication and technical problem-solving skills.
