Pay: £13.33 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm
Alternate Saturdays: 7:00am – 11:00am
We are currently recruiting for a Metal Finisher to join a well-established manufacturing business in Ashford.
This is a hands-on role working across metal finishing, assembly, quality checking and preparing completed products for dispatch. The position would suit someone with previous manufacturing, fabrication, assembly or workshop experience who enjoys practical work and takes pride in producing a high-quality finish.
You will be working as part of a busy team, with the opportunity to develop your skills across a variety of workshop and finishing duties.
The Role
* Finishing and preparing metal products to the required standard
* Assembling products and fitting components
* Carrying out general finishing and workshop duties
* Preparing completed products for dispatch and installation
* Packing products safely and securely
* Carrying out final quality checks
* Ensuring products are finished accurately and to the required specification
* Working both indoors and outdoors when required
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
* Supporting the wider manufacturing team as required
About You
We are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and takes pride in the quality of their work.
Essential:
* Previous experience in metal finishing, manufacturing, production, assembly, fabrication or a similar hands-on environment
* Good attention to detail
* Strong focus on quality and presentation
* Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors throughout the year
* Reliable and hardworking approach
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to learn new skills and take on different tasks
Desirable:
* Previous metal finishing experience
* Fabrication or workshop experience
* Experience using hand tools
* Experience working with metal products or components
