How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    DENSO Marston Ltd, based in Shipley, West Yorkshire, is part of the global DENSO Corporation, one of the world's leading automotive technology manufacturers. We design and manufacture high-performance heat exchange units and cooling modules for leading OEMs across the off-highway, construction and agricultural sectors.

    We're looking for a Production Engineer to strengthen our Production Engineering team. You'll take ownership of manufacturing processes within your designated area, leading new product introductions, capital investment projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, productivity and operational performance.

    Lead new product and variant introductions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
    Develop and optimise manufacturing processes, equipment and factory layouts
    Manage capital investment projects from concept through to implementation
    Drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing, PDCA and structured problem-solving techniques
    Improve production capacity, cycle times, OEE, quality and process capability
    Reduce scrap, rework and manufacturing waste
    Support production teams in resolving technical issues and implementing long-term solutions
    Work collaboratively with Design, Quality, Production and Purchasing teams
    Manage engineering and process changes in line with company procedures
    Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans and Operator InstructionsEssential Experience & Qualifications

    Minimum of two years' Production or Manufacturing Engineering experience within an automotive Tier 1 or FMCG manufacturing environment
    Experience delivering New Product Introduction (NPI) projects
    Strong understanding of APQP, PFMEA, Six Sigma and Statistical Process Control methodologies
    Knowledge of manufacturing process design, cell layout and material flow principles
    Experience using Lean Manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement methodologies
    Project management experience with multiple engineering projects
    Knowledge of CAD software, ideally AutoCAD
    Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering discipline (preferred)Required Skills
