We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established facilities management and building services team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of commercial properties, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and minor installation works.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring building services are maintained to the highest standards, delivering a professional service while maintaining compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems.
Service, maintain and repair commercial boilers, heating systems and associated plant equipment.
Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime.
Complete minor installation and replacement works as required.
Undertake basic plumbing and mechanical maintenance duties where required.
Carry out inspections and ensure all work complies with current legislation and industry standards.
Complete all required documentation accurately using electronic or paper-based systems.
Liaise professionally with clients, site contacts and colleagues to provide excellent customer service.
Participate in an on-call rota where required.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies and Health & Safety regulations.About You: The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer within facilities management, building services or a similar environment.
Valid Commercial Gas qualifications (CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1A or equivalent).
Experience servicing and maintaining commercial boilers and heating systems.
Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Basic plumbing and mechanical maintenance experience.
A strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
The ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
A full UK driving licence.Desirable
LPG qualifications.
Domestic Gas qualifications.
F-Gas certification.
18th Edition.
Electrical knowledge or additional building services experience.
