Setting Out Engineer / Site Engineer – Groundworks (Finchley)

We are currently recruiting an experienced Setting Out Engineer / Site Engineer for a groundworks project in Finchley.

* Location: Finchley

* Start Date: ASAP (no later than 20/07/2026)

* Duration: 5 weeks

* Rate: Negotiable, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out accurate setting out and surveying for drainage, paving, and kerbing works.

* Conduct quality control checks and maintain accurate site records.

* Assist with the supervision and coordination of subcontractors on site.

* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

* Valid CSCS Card.

* Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer, Site Engineer, or Engineering Surveyor.

* Minimum 3 years' UK groundworks experience.

* Competent in using Leica TS07 total station.

* Proficient with surveying instruments and experienced in setting out.

* Good understanding of method statements, risk assessments, QA procedures, and site documentation.

* Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.

Rates are open to negotiation depending on experience.
