How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced BIM professional looking to take ownership of digital design standards, mentor a talented team, and play a key role in delivering complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects.

    What you'll be doing:

✅ Leading the development and delivery of high-quality 3D models and BIM processes across multiple projects.

✅ Working closely with clients, contractors and project teams to ensure digital deliverables are completed on time and to the highest standard.
✅ Driving innovation and continuous improvement within digital engineering and BIM delivery.

    We're looking for someone with:

✔️ 10+ years' experience in BIM and CAD, ideally within the UK water or infrastructure sector.
✔️ Previous leadership experience managing or mentoring BIM/CAD teams.
✔️ Advanced knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and BIM coordination.
✔️ Strong experience implementing BIM standards and digital design workflows.
✔️ Expertise in clash detection, model coordination and multidisciplinary design integration.
✔️ Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.

    Desirable:

    * Degree in Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).

    * Professional BIM Management certification.

    * Knowledge of BIM Level 2/3 standards and cloud-based collaboration tools.

    * Experience delivering large-scale or international infrastructure projects.

    What's on offer?

    * Lead digital design on major UK water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

    * Work with a collaborative multidisciplinary engineering team.

    * Genuine opportunities for career progression and technical leadership.

    * Hybrid working with offices in Apsley or Glasgow.

    * Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

If you're passionate about digital engineering and want to shape the future of BIM delivery within the water sector, we'd love to hear from you
