We're looking for a confident and passionate Head Cook to join our team in Coventry on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the kitchen, use your creativity, and make a real difference through the meals you prepare.

Pay: £13.94 per hour
Hours: 4 x 12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), including 2 x 60-minute breaks, covering all 7 days on a rota basis

The Role
As the Head Cook, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring every meal is prepared to the highest standards. You'll lead by example, inspire your team, and make sure food is nutritious, well-presented and delivered safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate and support the kitchen team to consistently deliver high-quality meals.
Plan and develop menus that cater for a range of dietary requirements and preferences.
Oversee all food preparation and cooking, ensuring compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
Manage stock levels and kitchen supplies, maintaining quality while controlling costs.
Work closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
Listen to client feedback and continually improve the dining experience.
About You
We're looking for someone who brings both experience and enthusiasm to the kitchen. You'll have:
Previous experience in a Head Cook or similar leadership role.
A strong understanding of food hygiene, food safety and health & safety regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills with a positive, hands-on approach.
A passion for producing nutritious, high-quality food.
The creativity and adaptability to develop menus and respond to changing needs.
