How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electronic Design Engineer.

    £58,500.

    Telford, Shropshire.

    Monday – Thursday (8:30am-5:00pm) / Friday (8:30am – 4:00pm).

    A thriving business at the forefront of their engineering industry has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and technically competent Electronic Design Engineer to join their established team. Designing, manufacturing, and installing a host of equipment for a variety of industries this business has a comprehensive, long standing market presence spanning across multiple decades.

    Having seen a surge in demand for their products, the business is growing. Provision of their services for an ever-growing portfolio of clients really separates them from their competitors!

    This position will appeal to an Electronic Design Engineer who desires to test their skills in a new, technically challenging environment.

    Role Description

    * Responsible for electronic content of products, including system architecture, circuit design, integration and lifecycle support.

    * Define system architecture from incomplete or evolving requirements.

    * Design analogue and digital circuits, including control, power, and communications.

    * Produce and review schematics, PCB layouts, and supporting documentation.

    * Prototype build, test and iteration.

    * Define and carry out testing appropriate to product use.

    * Working with mechanical designers to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.

    * Working alongside electrical and mechanical design, production & purchasing.

    Skills & Experience

    * Previous Electronic Design experience.

    * Exposure to PCB Layouts, PIC Microcontrollers, Firmware Development, EMC.

    * Ability to work and interact well within a team environment.

    * Willingness to learn and in time take on full ownership of design projects.
