How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The role

    We are delighted to be recruiting for a Finance Systems Support Analyst to join our team. The role of the Finance Systems Support Analyst is tosupport the effective operation of finance systems and reporting by maintaining data, processes and system functionality, ensuring timely execution of tasks and high-quality service to finance users.

    This is an agile working role.

    This role is part of Finance where you'll help us to invest more back into communities and design for strength.

    What you'll achieve

    Support the delivery of finance processes and reporting outputs within agreed timelines
    Maintain and update finance system data structures, ensuring accuracy and completeness
    Process system transactions and day to day activities (e.g. uploads, batch processing) in line with controls
    Resolve MyIT service requests and incidents within agreed SLA timelines
    Assist in the development and maintenance of finance reports
    Perform data checks, reconciliations and validation activities to support reporting accuracy
    Support period-end and year-end processes from a system perspective
    Assist with audit activities and compliance requirements
    Maintain system documentation and procedures
    Provide support and guidance to system users, helping resolve queries
    Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders
    Support continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of best practicWhat you'll bring

    Essential skills

    Educated to O-Level/GCSE Level or equivalent, including Mathematics and English
    Foundation level of accounting processes and accounting theory.
    Ability to work on own initiative without supervision
    Studying towards a recognised chartered professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
    Experience of producing management reporting information
    Appropriate experience of Microsoft Excel
    Good literacy and numeracy skills and the ability to communicate clearly with customersDesirable skills
