How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We’re building thriving communities as one of the UK’s largest housing groups and a leading developer of affordable housing.

We believe everyone is entitled to a good home they can afford, in a place they are proud to live. More than 100,000 people live in our homes.

If you want to experience work that’s truly rewarding, join us. Because when we achieve together, customers and communities thrive.

Work for Orbit. Believe in people.

    The role

We’re offering this role on a 12-to-18-month contract, giving you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a key period of change.

This is a hybrid role with our Head Office in Coventry as the main base. We welcome applications from candidates based elsewhere, provided you’re comfortable travelling to Coventry occasionally when the role requires it.

We’re looking for a confident, collaborative Business Partner to join our Business Change team and play a key role in turning business priorities into practical technology, data and transformation outcomes. Sitting at the heart of the relationship between TTD and our operational teams, you’ll help shape the right change at the right time - building trusted partnerships, bringing clarity to complex ideas and making sure improvements land well for colleagues and customers.

As part of Technology & Information, you’ll help give colleagues the tools, insight and support they need to do brilliant work and deliver better outcomes for the people and communities we serve.

    What you'll achieve

Be the trusted link between operational teams and TTD, building strong relationships that help turn business needs into clear, deliverable change.
Shape and prioritise small change activity, making sure the right ideas move forward and deliver real value for customers and colleagues.
Work closely with Portfolio Managers and senior leaders to understand challenges, explore options and create practical delivery plans.
Produce clear, confident recommendations that bring together benefits, risks, impacts, costs and the case for change.
Lead agreed technology, data and transformation changes from idea through to delivery, keeping activity on track, on budget and aligned to business priorities.
Support colleagues through change, helping new ways of working embed successfully and ensuring the benefits are understood, adopted and realised. What you'll bring

    Essential skills

Experience delivering business or transformation change within a complex organisation, with the confidence to move activity from concept through to completion.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility, influence senior colleagues and bring people with you.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to turn business needs, risks and opportunities into clear plans, actions and recommendations.
Confident planning and delivery skills, with the ability to manage priorities, timelines, risks and competing demands.
A strong analytical mindset, with the ability to assess options, understand impacts and support informed, practical decision-making.Desirable skills

Experience in a housing association, property, construction or customer-focused service environment.
Knowledge of Microsoft business applications, particularly Dynamics 365, Finance & Operations or Customer Engagement.
Experience supporting business process improvement or helping operational teams adopt new ways of working.
