How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Supply Teacher

    Location: Romford and surrounding areas
    Salary: Competitive daily rates (dependent on experience)

    As a Supply Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of school settings, gaining valuable experience across different year groups, subjects, and teaching environments. This role is ideal for experienced teachers, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and those returning to the profession who are looking for flexibility without compromising on rewarding teaching opportunities.

    Key Responsibilities

    Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and lesson plans.
    Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and pupil wellbeing.
    Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with each school's behaviour policy.
    Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities and learning styles.
    Build positive relationships with pupils, school staff, and senior leadership teams.
    Complete lesson feedback and handover notes for the returning class teacher where required.
    Follow all school policies and procedures, including safeguarding, behaviour management, and health and safety requirements.
    Uphold high professional standards and represent the agency positively within each school.

    Requirements

    To be considered for this role, you should have:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
    Experience teaching within UK primary or secondary schools.
    Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
    Strong communication and organisational abilities.
    A flexible, reliable, and professional approach to teaching.
    The ability to quickly adapt to different school environments and establish positive classroom routines.
    A sound understanding of the UK curriculum.
    An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
    The right to work in the UK.
