Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise nursery staff to deliver high-quality childcare and early childhood education.
* Plan, organise, and implement age-appropriate activities that promote development across all areas.
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at all times, adhering to health and safety policies.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents.
* Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication and updates.
* Manage daily routines within the nursery, including meal times, naps, and play sessions.
* Support staff development through training sessions and ongoing mentorship.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
* Assist with administrative tasks related to nursery operations as required.
Skills
* Proven management and leadership abilities within a childcare or nursery setting.
* Extensive experience working with children, ideally within early childhood education or childcare environments.
* Strong organisational skills to coordinate daily activities efficiently.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating independent initiative.
* Compassionate approach to childcare with a genuine passion for child development.
* Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation duties or community engagement activities.
* Knowledge of current childcare legislation and best practices in early childhood education.
