How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst (Dual-Trained)

    Essential work. Trusted expertise. Done properly — every time.

    Location: Glasgow & Central Belt
    Job Type: Full-time, Field-based

    Let’s be upfront — asbestos surveying and analysis isn’t light work.

    But it is important, highly skilled, and makes a genuine difference to people’s safety every single day.

    At Lucion, we don’t approach asbestos work as a tick-box exercise. We deliver accurate, defensible surveys and analytical services that clients rely on to manage risk properly — protecting people, buildings and projects across the UK.

    We’re a purpose-driven, beyond-net-zero business working across multiple sectors worldwide. We take pride in combining technical excellence with a calm, professional approach and delivering work that makes a real difference.

    We’re currently looking for an experienced Dual-Trained Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join our Hazardous Materials team, supporting projects across Glasgow and the Central Belt.

    If you value quality, accuracy and doing things the right way, you’ll feel at home here.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    This is a varied, hands-on role where your expertise directly supports safer buildings and better decision-making.

    You’ll:

    * Carry out asbestos surveys and inspections, including management, refurbishment, demolition and asbestos in the ground surveys.

    * Undertake air monitoring, airborne fibre counting and 4-stage clearance testing.

    * Inspect contractor remediation works and complete clearance inspections, ensuring works meet required standards.

    * Collect accurate site data using digital systems and produce high-quality reports.

    * Work in line with asbestos legislation and guidance, including HSG248 and HSG264.

    * Maintain QHSE documentation and follow internal assurance processes.

    * Provide professional technical advice to clients and site teams.

    In short: trusted technical work, delivered professionally, with no corners cut.

    About You

    You know the job. You understand the responsibility. And you take pride in getting it right.

    You’ll ideally have:

    * BOHS P402, P403 and/or P404 qualifications (or equivalent RSPH qualifications/Certificate of Competence).

    * Experience working as a Dual-Trained Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst.

    * A working knowledge of HSG248 (The Analysts’ Guide) and HSG264 (The Survey Guide).

    * A full UK manual driving licence.

    * Flexibility to travel and work across different sites when required.

    * The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a professional team.

    * Strong technical judgement and a practical approach to site work.

    What You’ll Get in Return

    We look after our people so they can focus on doing their job properly.

    You’ll benefit from:

    * £1,000 joining bonus for experienced Asbestos Surveyors and Analysts who apply directly.

    * Paid travel time as part of your 40-hour working week, typically worth £3,000–£4,000 annually.

    * Working away allowances for assignments where applicable.

    * Healthcare Cash Plan to support everyday healthcare costs.

    * Techscheme vouchers.

    * Reward platform including wellbeing support, cycle-to-work scheme and discounts at over 800 retailers.

    * Enhanced family leave.

    * Option to buy additional holiday.

    * Training and development opportunities.

    * Flexible working and supportive managers who understand site work.

    Why Lucion?

    Because accuracy matters here.

    Because your expertise is respected — not rushed.

    And because you want to work for a business that takes safety, quality and people seriously.

    If you’re an asbestos professional who wants to deliver work you can stand behind, we’d love to hear from you.

    As part of our commitment to safety, trust and doing things properly, the successful candidate will be required to complete a DBS check before joining the business.

    Lucion. Purpose-led. People-focused. Getting it right — on every site, every time
