How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mental Health Assistant
    Redbridge
    £92-£120 per day

    Do you have a genuine interest in supporting young people's emotional wellbeing and helping them flourish in school? A welcoming primary school in Redbridge is seeking a compassionate and proactive Mental Health Assistant to join its team from September 2026.

    This full-time position will run through to July 2027, offering an excellent opportunity for experienced support staff and graduates aspiring to develop a career in education, psychology or pastoral care.

    The Role

    As a Mental Health Assistant, you will provide vital support to pupils experiencing social, emotional and mental health challenges, enabling them to access learning and thrive within the school community.

    Key duties include:

    Delivering individual and small-group interventions to promote wellbeing and resilience.
    Supporting pupils throughout the school day, both inside and outside the classroom.
    Encouraging positive behaviour and helping children develop effective coping strategies.
    Liaising with teachers, families and the pastoral team to ensure consistent support.
    Creating a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and understood.We Would Love to Hear From You If You:

    Have experience working with children or young people with additional emotional or behavioural needs, or are a graduate eager to gain hands-on experience.
