We are currently seeking an experienced Railway Telecom Installer to support testing and installation activities on railway infrastructure projects across Glasgow.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled telecoms professional with rail experience to join a busy project team on a long-term contract basis.
Key Responsibilities
Installation and testing of railway telecoms assets and associated equipment.
Supporting commissioning and testing activities across live rail projects.
Ensuring all works are carried out safely and in accordance with industry standards and project requirements.
Working collaboratively with site teams to deliver works to programme.
Essential Requirements
Valid PTS certification.
Telecoms and/or electrical qualifications.
Proven experience installing and testing telecoms equipment.
Strong understanding of telecoms infrastructure and testing procedures.
Ability to work safely in a rail environment.
Desirable
Previous experience working on railway telecoms projects.
Experience with railway communications systems, fibre, copper and associated telecom assets.
Contract Details
Location: Glasgow
Duration: 6-12 months
Shifts: 6 shifts per week
Pattern: Predominantly nights with some day shifts required
Rate: £200 per shift
Salary description
£180.00 - £200.00 per day
