How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Utility Surveyor

    Hybrid role covering the Central Belt of Scotland - You can be based in or around the following locations: Glasgow, Motherwell, Cumbernauld, Dumbarton, Airdrie, Carluke, Livingston, Falkirk

    £30,000 - £40,000 (OTE) + Enhanced Pension + Training + Progression + Van + Fuel Card + Healthcare

    This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing survey companies in the UK. Offering a broad range of specialist services, they are looking for an experienced Utility Surveyor to join their growing team.

    The ideal candidate will be able to step into the role comfortably, with previous experience as a Utility Surveyor and the ability to manage projects from survey through to final delivery. You will have a strong understanding of PAS128 standards, alongside an eagerness to continue developing your skills within a fast-paced and growing industry.

    The Role

    Utility surveying across a wide variety of sites
    Conducting surveys using Ground Penetrating Radar and other specialist equipment
    Downloading, processing and interpreting survey data
    Producing accurate CAD drawings and final survey deliverables
    The Person

    Previous Utility Surveying experience
    Good understanding of PAS128 standards
    Full UK driving licence
