Denholm Industrial Services is recruiting experienced Industrial Painters and Abrasive Blast Cleaners to join a major marine project in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a 12-week contract, with the potential for longer-term work.
Key role and responsibilities for Industrial Painters & Blasters
* Carry out surface preparation, abrasive blasting and protective coating application in accordance with project specifications.
* Apply coatings using brush and roller (Industrial Painters) and prepare steelwork to the required blast standard (Blasters).
* Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and client specifications are achieved.
* Operate and maintain equipment safely while following all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) procedures.
* Maintain high housekeeping standards and work collaboratively to meet project deadlines.
Minimum requirements for Industrial Painters & Blasters
* Previous experience as an Industrial Painter or Abrasive Blast Cleaner.
* Experience within marine, defence, shipbuilding or heavy industrial environments is desirable.
* Industrial Painters: Train the Painter Bronze Card.
* Abrasive Blast Cleaners: Train the Painter Silver Card.
* Eligible to complete the required security clearance process.
Industrial Painters
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday | 07:00 – 16:30 (37-hour week)
Pay Rates
Basic: £20.79 per hour
Weekday OT1: £31.19 per hour
Weekday OT2: £41.58 per hour
Nights: £27.66 per hour
Night OT1: £31.19 per hour
Night OT2: £41.58 per hour
Weekend: £27.66 per hour
Weekend OT1: £31.19 per hour
Weekend OT2: £41.58 per hour
Regular overtime available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Blasters
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday | 21:30 – 07:00 (37-hour week)
Pay Rates
Basic: £22.15 per hour
Weekday OT1: £33.23 per hour
Weekday OT2: £44.30 per hour
Nights: £29.46 per hour
Night OT1: £33.23 per hour
Night OT2: £44.30 per hour
Weekend: £29.46 per hour
Weekend OT1: £33.23 per hour
Weekend OT2: £44.30 per hour
Weekend daytime overtime available on Saturdays and Sundays.
Security Clearance
Candidates must be eligible to obtain BPSS security clearance. As a minimum, this includes providing a criminal record check, right to work documentation, three years' employment history and five years' address history.
Security clearance paperwork will be completed on your first day on site, and our team will guide you through the process before your start date.
Candidates must attend on their first day with a valid Criminal Record Check (DBS certificate).
