How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SweetTree is looking for a Brain Injury Support Worker with an understanding of individuals who have acquired brain injuries, mental health conditions, or a background in fields like Psychology, Neuroscience, Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or other health and social care related disciplines. As a Brain Injury Support Worker, you'll receive specialised training and have the unique opportunity to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, speech & language therapists, and rehabilitation clinicians. Whether you're seeking full-time or part-time positions, we would ideally require a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week, with a minimum of 4-hour visits per client to ensure the highest level of care.

    We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and emotionally intelligent support worker to assist a young female client recovering from a brain injury sustained in a road traffic accident. The client has limited mobility; she can walk short distances with assistance but uses a wheelchair in the community. She experiences cognitive impairments, including reduced short-term memory, and requires full support with all activities of daily living. Despite her challenges, she enjoys an active and engaging lifestyle.

    * Gym sessions with her personal trainer

    * Hydrotherapy and yoga

    * Music therapy

    * Cinema outings

    * Getting her nails done

    * Walking her dog in the park

    * Listening to R&B and popular music

    She has a quirky sense of humour and appreciates fun, light-hearted interaction.

    We are looking for a support worker who is:

    * Strong, bubbly, and upbeat in personality

    * Calm and grounded under pressure

    * Adaptable and able to manage unpredictable situations with empathy and professionalism

    * Experienced in complex care, particularly with cognitive or neurological needs

    * Comfortable working in a household with a small dog (pet friendly essential)

    Driving Requirements:

    * Must be over 25 years of age (for insurance purposes)

    * Must hold a full manual UK driving licence

    * confident and resposible driver, as you'll be transporting the client betwee locations regularly

    Key Responsibilities:

    Your role as a Support Worker is pivotal in shaping the lives of those we support. You will:

    * Leverage your previous experience with brain injury clients to offer invaluable insights.

    * Provide personalized one-on-one support within the comfort of the clients' homes.

    * Foster a nurturing and positive environment that encourages independence and overall well-being.
