How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Diagnostic Vehicle Technician / Master Technician
    Location: Maidenhead
    Salary: £37,000 - £38,000 Basic Salary | OTE £45,000
    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

    Are you an experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician looking for a dealership that values your technical expertise and offers an excellent work-life balance?

    We're looking for a highly skilled Diagnostic Technician to join a busy Main Car Dealership. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys fault-finding, complex diagnostics, and working with the latest vehicle technology. If you're a Master Technician or have advanced diagnostic skills, a higher salary will be considered for the right candidate.

    The Role
    As a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician, you'll be the workshop's technical specialist, diagnosing complex faults and ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to manufacturer standards.
    Your responsibilities will include:
    ·Diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle faults
    ·Using manufacturer diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve technical issues
    ·Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to the highest standard
    ·Supporting workshop technicians with technical guidance and complex fault diagnosis
    ·Completing vehicle health checks and inspections
    ·Ensuring all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety standards
    ·Accurately completing job cards and workshop documentation
    ·Working efficiently to achieve productivity and quality targets

    About You
    To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
    ·NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
    ·Extensive experience as a Diagnostic Technician, Diagnostic Vehicle Technician, or Master Technician
    ·Exceptional fault-finding and diagnostic skills
    ·Experience using manufacturer diagnostic equipment
    ·Mazda or Honda experience would be highly desirable, although other manufacturer backgrounds will be considered
    ·MOT Licence beneficial but not essential
    ·Full UK Driving Licence
    ·A positive, team-focused attitude and commitment to delivering first-time fixes
