How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Business Studies to join a successful secondary school in Coventry.     Key Responsibilities

    You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging Business Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, creating an inclusive classroom environment where every student is encouraged to achieve their full potential. Alongside high-quality teaching, you will monitor student progress, provide meaningful feedback, and contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum and wider department.

    As a valued member of our staff, you will also take an active role in the broader life of the school, supporting enrichment opportunities and helping to foster a positive and vibrant learning community.

    Requirements

    Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be due to achieve QTS by September 2026.
    Have a degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related subject.
    Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Business Studies.
    Be an effective communicator with strong organisational and classroom management skills.
    Be committed to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
    Have the ability to motivate, challenge, and inspire students of all abilities.
