How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Junior Lift Technician

    Lift Tester

    Senior Lift Engineer

    Wembley, West London

    Basic Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + overtime + benefits

    Benefits: £400/week standby allowance, Overtime: Monday to Friday: 1.5x pay rate; Weekends & Bank Holidays: 2x pay rate, new van + all travel expenses paid, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, NVQ 4 training.

    Marmon Lift Recruitment is now recruiting for a Junior Lift Technician to cover a route across London. The portfolio includes a mix of passenger lifts and goods lifts.

    This is an excellent opportunity to begin training to become an NVQ 4-qualified lift engineer. The business invests heavily in its people, promoting internal growth and continuous professional development, and is offering a senior lift engineer a direct pathway to becoming a technician.

    Commutable from: Richmond, Wimbledon, Ealing, Uxbridge, Streatham, Hammersmith, Harrow, Mitcham, Twickenham, Hayes, Slough, Staines-upon-Thames, and London areas.

    Ideal Junior Lift Technician:

    NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering - Essential

    Full, clean driving licence - Essential

    At least 5 years of proven experience within lift engineering, ideally in a technical or senior field-based role

    Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

    Confident in supervising and supporting other engineers

    Responsibilities of a Junior Lift Technician:

    Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and test reports

    Attend to and resolve breakdowns and faults across passenger and goods lifts

    Provide technical support with fault-finding and complex issues

    Recommend and implement improvements to lifting operational procedures

    Supervise lift engineering and technical staff, ensuring adherence to health & safety standards

    Deliver a high standard of customer service and promote operational excellence
