About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain engaged throughout the day. You will play an important role in maintaining a positive learning environment, encouraging good behaviour and supporting students to complete their work. This is an ideal opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers or experienced education professionals looking to make a meaningful contribution in a secondary school.

Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a variety of subject areas.
Maintain positive classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Encourage students to stay focused and complete the work provided.
Create a calm, organised and respectful learning environment.
Record attendance, behaviour and lesson outcomes for teaching staff.
Build positive working relationships with students and colleagues.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Confidence managing groups of students independently.
A flexible, reliable and professional approach.
The ability to remain calm and respond positively to different classroom situations.
An interest in education and supporting young people's learning.

Have the right to work in the UK.
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.
Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
