How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Variety of primary schools across the Worksop area
    Start Date: September 2026

    Are you a passionate Primary Supply Teacher looking for flexible teaching opportunities from September 2026?

    Academics is working with a range of friendly and supportive primary schools across the Worksop area and is looking to recruit enthusiastic and reliable teachers to support schools on a temporary supply basis.

    Whether you're an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), we'd love to hear from you.

    As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will:

    Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across the primary age range.
    Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where pupils can thrive.
    Adapt quickly to different school settings and year groups.
    Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management.
    Follow each school's policies, procedures and planning where appropriate.
    Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.

    What We Offer

    Competitive daily pay of £140 to £225 per day (inclusive of holiday pay), dependent upon experience, qualifications, key stage experience, and the client.

    To be considered for this Primary Supply Teacher role, you will have:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
    Previous experience teaching within UK primary schools.
    A current Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new Enhanced DBS check.
    Excellent classroom management skills.
    Strong communication and organisational abilities.
    A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
    The right to work in the UK.
