How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This role operates on a Pitman, 12 hour day shift basis and offers a competitive remuneration package, including a range of employee benefits and opportunities for career development.

    The Role

The successful candidate will provide engineering support to production operations, ensuring equipment reliability and responding effectively to breakdowns and technical issues. The role is focused on maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

Plan and carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance activities.

    *

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and system faults, ensuring safety is always the highest priority.

    *

Diagnose faults, service, maintain, and repair production equipment, machinery, and systems.

    *

Monitor and oversee external contractors carrying out maintenance and repair work.

    *

Complete accurate end-of-shift, time usage, and defect reports.

    *

Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, performance, and efficiency.

    *

Maintain compliance with all health and safety, hygiene, quality, and company procedures.

    *

Support continuous improvement initiatives through practical problem-solving and process enhancements.

    About You

We're looking for someone who is:

    *

Multi-skilled with both mechanical and electrical engineering experience.

    *

Qualified to a minimum of SVQ/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.

    *

A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.

    *

Positive, proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn.

    *

Able to influence others and work collaboratively within a team environment.

    Desirable Experience

    *

    Fault-finding and diagnostic experience.

    *

Previous experience within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or manufacturing environment.

If you're looking to join a business that values continuous improvement, teamwork, and professional development, we'd love to hear from you
