How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Solar Technical Manager

    Coventry Northampton Area Remote Site Visits

    £45,000 - £60,000 + Bonus + Equity + Laptop Private Health Insurance + Remote + Car Allowance

    Are you a qualified electrician with strong solar installation experience looking for a role where you can step into a regional leadership position and have real impact?

    This company are on a mission to transform how homes across the UK are powered through innovative solar PV, battery storage and EV charging solutions. They have a strong growth trajectory and an expanding national installer network, putting them in an excellent position for continued success while maintaining a strong focus on quality and compliance.

    In this role, you will act as the technical authority for your region, overseeing installation quality across subcontractors and delivery teams, ensuring all work is completed safely, compliantly and to the highest standard. You'll play a key role in maintaining technical excellence, supporting live projects and helping to scale the installation network effectively.

    The Role

    * Oversee the quality of solar and battery installations across your region
    * Conduct remote and on site quality audits (including WIP checks and post installation inspections)
    * Act as the technical expert for Solar PV, battery storage and EV charger installations
    * Support and onboard new installation partners and subcontractor teams
    * Provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with MCS standards, Part P and industry regulations
    * Work closely with operations and project management teams to resolve live installation issues

    The Person

    * Qualified electrician with 5+ years' experience
    * Strong background in Solar PV, battery storage and/or EV charging installations
    * Confident communicator with ability to manage subcontractors and internal stakeholders
    * Holds 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3, ECS Gold Card and Inspection & Testing
    * Strong understanding of MCS standards and electrical compliance requirements
