How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Pay: £92.59 - £95 per day

    Are you a graduate or aspiring psychologist looking to build hands-on experience supporting children with behaviour and emotional regulation in a primary school?

    Do you have a patient, resilient nature and a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential?

    Academics are working with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Maidenhead is looking to appoint a Behaviour Mentor to join their dedicated support team from September. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting pupils who need additional guidance to manage their behaviour and thrive both academically and socially.

    As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with children who may present with social, emotional, behavioural, or additional learning needs. Your role will focus on promoting positive behaviour, building confidence, and helping pupils develop the skills they need to succeed in the classroom.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils requiring additional behavioural guidance
    Encouraging children to recognise, understand, and regulate their emotions
    Using positive behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques to support individual needs
    Assisting the class teacher in creating a calm, positive, and engaging learning environment
    Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families to ensure consistent support
    Working collaboratively with the SEN team to implement tailored behaviour support plansThis role in Maidenhead is ideal for graduates or individuals considering careers in educational psychology, teaching, counselling, child development, or other areas of education.
