How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Project Engineer – Groundworks & RC Structures

    📍Locations: Scunthorpe
    🕒 Duration: 5-10 weeks.

    We are seeking experienced Project Engineers to join our team and deliver a multi-disciplinary civil engineering project across our Scunthorpe. The project involves groundworks and reinforced concrete (RC) works and offers the opportunity to work on a high-value, technically challenging development.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage site works to high standards of safety, quality, and performance in accordance with project procedures and standards.

    * Lead “setting to work” briefings with a focus on safe and quality-driven execution.

    * Direct and prioritize daily site activities in line with project requirements.

    * Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and QA documentation.

    * Carry out limited setting out duties as required.

    * Supervise site engineers and manage sub-contractors effectively.

    * Participate in early design reviews to identify risks and opportunities.

    * Implement and monitor quality assurance through control, inspection, and test plans.

    * Promote a strong culture of safe working practices on site.

    * Support the Sub-Agent/Agent with day-to-day operations and reporting.

    Required Qualifications & Experience

    * Proven experience as a Project Engineer on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.

    * Strong background in groundworks and reinforced concrete.

    * Experience managing high-value construction packages.

    * Competent in preparing and managing site documentation.

    * SMSTS or SSSTS certification.

    * Valid CSCS card.

    * BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering or related discipline, or HNC/HND equivalent.

    * Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
