This position would suit a motivated Part II Assistant with around 1-2 years' post-Part II experience, looking to develop their technical ability whilst working on projects that move quickly from concept through to construction.

Our client is an established Architectural Practice with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality design solutions across the Retail, Logistics, Residential, Care and Healthcare sectors. Their Retail team continues to experience sustained growth, creating an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Architectural Assistant to become part of a friendly, collaborative and highly experienced team.
The practice prides itself on maintaining a supportive culture where individuals are encouraged to take ownership of their work, develop professionally and progress towards Part III qualification.
The Role
Working alongside experienced Architects and Architectural Technologists, you'll support the delivery of multiple retail projects for household-name clients, producing high-quality technical drawing packages and assisting throughout the project lifecycle.
This is a varied role where no two weeks are the same. The projects are fast-moving, offering excellent exposure to project delivery, client interaction and technical development.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with the preparation of planning, building regulations and construction drawing packages.
Producing accurate technical drawings using AutoCAD.
Supporting projects through multiple RIBA work stages.
Coordinating with clients, consultants and contractors.
Assisting with site visits and project meetings where required.
Working as part of a collaborative technical team to deliver projects to demanding timescales.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and thrives on seeing projects progress quickly.
You'll ideally possess:
RIBA Part II qualification.
Approximately 1-2 years' UK practice experience.
Strong AutoCAD skills (essential).
Experience working on UK commercial or retail projects would be highly advantageous.
Sound technical understanding of UK Building Regulations.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A positive, proactive attitude with a genuine desire to continue learning and developing.
Ambition to progress towards Part III qualification.
