How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: CNC Turner Programmer
    Job Type: Days based, Perm
    Location: Hayes
    Pay: £15 - £19ph DOE
    Hours: Mon-Thurs 07:30-16:00 / Fri 07:30-15:00

    Our client is a customer focused, quality led Sub-Contract Engineering company specialising in Multi–Axis and CNC machining serving a variety of Industries from Aerospace, Oil and gas, Medical & Research.

    Thriving since the 1980’s our client at present has a workforce of 40 competently skilled engineers. Due to constant expansion they are looking for a CNC Turner Programmer.

    The role:
    ⦁ Program, set and operate 2 axis Mori Seiki machines with Fanuc controls
    ⦁ Demonstrate confidence in machining within ISO9001 standards
    ⦁ Ability to write new CNC programs long hand at the machine.
    ⦁ Also, editing pre written programs, the full machine setup including material, tooling, speeds, feeds.
    ⦁ Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment.
    ⦁ Producing one off, as well as low to medium volume precision parts in a range of hard and soft metals.
    ⦁ Excellent working knowledge of 2 axis CNC machines, cutting speeds and feeds, geometric tolerances.
