How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    School House Recruitment urgently need more SEN Teaching Assistants for primary school assignments in the Rotherham area. We are especially keen to speak with SEN Teaching Assistants who have specific Nursery experience.

    The schools we assist love the idea of working closely with a smaller, independent supply teaching specialist that genuinely looks after its supply staff. As a result, we urgently require additional, motivated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants, looking to work on day-to-day and/or long-term assignments starting asap.

    Our SEN Teaching Assistants (TAs) have a real passion for helping teachers to develop the knowledge and skills of young learners, together with a cheerful personality to ensure every day at school is fun.

    Ideally they are Level 2 and/or Full and Relevant (for pupil ratio reasons) Level 3 qualified, and have practical classroom experience working with pupils who have additional needs. They also have strong literacy and numeracy skills and are familiar with the more popular learning systems e.g. Phonics/Read Write Inc. and White Rose Maths/Maths Makes Sense.

    Whether working closely with the class teacher in whole class, taking smaller groups or doing 1-2-1 intervention work, our Teaching Assistants confidently provide a valuable contribution to the schools we assist.

    What type of individuals are we look for?

    * We need experienced Teaching Assistants with either a Level 2 or Full and Relevant, Level 3 qualification

    * Confident individuals who are happy to work in whole class, in small groups or on a 1-2-1 basis

    * Positive role models who work closely with the class teacher to offer pupils additional support

    * Teaching Assistants who are passionate about the education of young learners – especially those with additional needs (SEN)

    * Those available to work full and part-time hours Monday to Friday, on day-to-day and/or long term assignments, starting asap
