How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Operational Buyer

    Location: Warwick, Hybrid

    Length of Contract: 9 Months

    Salary: £30-37K PA

    Overview

    Are you ready to take your buyer career to the next level? We're looking for a dynamic Operational Buyer to manage supplier relationships, optimize purchasing processes, and drive efficiency in a fast-paced global environment. If you have strong SAP experience, outstanding Excel skills, and 3+ years in Direct Procurement, this is your chance to make a real impact! You'll collaborate with internal teams, negotiate with suppliers, ensure compliance, and contribute to high-quality procurement strategies.


    Responsibilities

    • Manage a large load of daily administration via a work queue to ensure all RFQs and purchase orders are transacted and chased.
    • Ensure close cooperation with Internal Customers (MRPCs, requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement.
    • Manage a portfolio of suppliers, negotiate price increase requests, and resolve issues pertaining to invoicing/payment.
    • Contribute to the implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes, and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g., compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).
    • Support Supplier Management processes (e.g., qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification).
    • Update supplier evaluation systems to obtain and develop the best suppliers and ensure transparency and high procurement quality.
    • Maintain records of all documentation, adherence of online purchasing, and contract management systems.
    • Support and/or lead Procurement Business Plan activities


    Experience

    • Strong SAP transactional experience.
    • Outstanding Excel skills.
    • 3+ years of experience in Direct Procurement.
    • Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals, and objectives.
    • Ability to work in a complex, fast-changing global organizational environment.
    • Good admin experience, preferably in a high volume environment.
