How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We’re looking for an Employee Relations Partner to join our team. You’ll play a key role in supporting our HR team and business leaders, ensuring fair and effective employee relations practices. This is your chance to make a real difference in a global organisation that values its people and their growth.

    How you'll make an impact

    • Support the HR team in delivering employee relations programmes that meet business needs.
    • Support our HR team with complex employee relations matters, including discipline, grievances, performance, and absence management.
    • Collaborate on mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and reviewing transactional documents.
    • Coach and support HR teams and leaders to develop employee relations skills and manage risks.
    • Manage employment litigation, including pre-conciliation and drafting legal documents.
    • Provide guidance on complex settlement agreements and employment cases in the UK.
    • Support consultation processes for business transformations, mergers, and acquisitions.
    • Help design, update, and interpret HR policies.
    • Deliver training on employment policies, legislation, and business change.
    • Stay informed about changes in UK employment law.

    About You

    • You’re a practising lawyer with a law degree and significant experience in employment law, either in-house or in private practice.
    • You’ve worked with senior stakeholders in complex commercial environments.
    • You’re skilled at building partnerships, influencing decisions, and challenging ideas constructively.
    • You’re comfortable working with a dispersed workforce.
    • You’re eligible to work in the UK.

    Compensation and benefits

At Gallagher, we believe supporting our colleagues goes far beyond the role itself. For more information, visit our Benefits page.

    • Career development opportunities and ongoing learning
    • A collaborative, people-first culture with accessible leadership
    • The opportunity to do meaningful work with global reach and local impact

At Gallagher, we are dedicated to building an inclusive and authentic workplace. If your past experience doesn’t align perfectly, we encourage you to join our Talent Community to stay connected to additional career opportunities. Although this role is listed as full-time, if you’re in a job-share partnership, work reduced hours, or have any other flexible arrangement, please still get in touch.
