How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Health & Safety Manager
    Our client is a long established and highly respected name in the offsite construction manufacturing sector. They provide a range of top-class products to clients in a wide range of sectors across the UK.
    They are currently looking to recruit a Health and Safety Manager to be based at their Tamworth office.
    The main duties of the role are:
    * Maintaining and monitoring the businesses ISO standards: ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001.
    * Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.
    * Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organisation, and provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees.
    * Lead the development and review of risk assessments and method statements.
    * Identify workplace hazards and implement suitable control measures.
    * Develop and deliver health and safety training programmes.
    * Support managers in fulfilling their health and safety responsibilities.
    * Monitor key health and safety performance indicators.
    * Review contractor terms and conditions, highlighting any potential concerns to senior management.
    * Assess contractor competence.
    * Monitor contractor compliance with site safety requirements.
    * Lead internal health and safety audits.
    * Support external audits and inspections.
    The ideal candidate will possess:
    * Significant experience managing Health and Safety
    * Experience developing and implementing health and safety management systems.
    * Experience of maintaining ISO standards.
    * Experience carrying out audits and workplace inspections.
    * Experience delivering health and safety training.
    * Experience interpreting and applying UK health and safety legislation.
    * Experience conducting incident investigations.
    * NEBOSH National Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 Health and Safety qualification).
    * Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
    * Excellent communication and management skills.
    * Full UK driving licence.
    In return for the above, our client will offer a salary in the range of £50k-£55k, negotiable on experience, plus benefits.
